This custom bass was built for Talkbasser "Lo end PUNCH", serial #31. Handmade in the USA. Features Two piece ash body Maple accent stripe Claro crotch walnut top Gloss finish Five piece 1/4 sawn maple/wenge neck Stabilized macassar fingerboard Twin dual action truss rods Medium/jumbo frets Graphite nut Custom made brass headpiece, by David King String bending reservoir ABM single saddle bridge rails (19mm spacing) Ebony knobs Nickel Dunlop Straplocks Bartolini dual coil pickups Series/single coil/parallel switching Aguilar OBP-1, 2-band preamp 18V power DR Sunbeam strings (lite) 35" Scale LeCompte gigbag This bass was designed from an original sketch sent to me by Mr. PUNCH. A little massaging here and there and we were off and running. The bass came out great. Even though it only has a two-band preamp it has a really cool natural midrangey-ness to it. When the bass was completed the maple dot inlay on the top and crazy figuring in the walnut reminded Mr. PUNCH of a hurricane, thus he's dubbed it "The Eye Of The Storm".
